LGBTI+ Teacher Awareness Workshops for Post Primary Teachers ( Series of 3 Workshops)

These workshops are designed as a series, while each workshop will be carried out separately the sessions are all interlinked

This series of interactive workshops is suitable for all post primary teachers who wish to enhance their knowledge of the LGBTI+ community within education. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion. Over the three workshops, the following areas will be discussed in detail:

·        History of the LGBTI+ community

·        Terminology and language

Niall Farrell is a post primary teacher who completed his Bachelor of Education in Home Economics and Biology in St. Angela’s College. He has completed a Master of Education (Social Justice) at Maynooth University. He is interested and experienced in policy development in the area of inclusion and diversity and applying theory into practice via collaborative approaches.
