Free Online STEM Event
On Wednesday, April 28th at 12pm, the RDS is hosting a special online event as part of our primary school STEM education programme, ESB Science Blast. Each year the RDS asks leaders from STEM industries and education to join us to tease through some pertinent questions. This year the key question we seek to consider is 'What can STEM education offer a changing world?'.
Joining us to look at this question in more detail is Norma Foley TD, Minister for Education, as our keynote speaker, followed by Fionnghuala O'Reilly, a NASA Datanaut in conversation with Jess Kelly, presenter of Newstalk’s Tech Talk.
The RDS has recognised for a long time that STEM education plays a vital role in solving many big societal challenges. Our flagship STEM education programme, ESB Science Blast aims to equip a whole generation of primary school children with fundamental life-long scientific and problem-solving skills, not only preparing them for life in the 21st Century but also opening a future full of possibilities. For 2021, ESB Science Blast is going virtual and the RDS is delighted to have an opportunity to showcase ESB Science Blast TV at this event.
