Target Audience: Special Education Teachers
"Assessment Tools for Special Education Teachers" is an hour long information webinar that aims to support all Special Education Teachers (SET), at any stage of their career. Whether you are just embarking on your journey as a SET or you are well established in this role, you are undoubtedly aware of the importance of assessment when supporting your pupils.
This webinar aims to give you a clear understanding of the role of the Continuum of Support, which lays the foundation of the information gathering and assessment process for SETs. Using the Student Support File to track assessment and pupil progress on the Continuum of Support is also outlined as this is an extremely important document for effectively supporting your pupils.
The core of this webinar aims to support SETs in understanding the importance of choosing effective and appropriate assessment tools. A wide range of assessment tools suitable for assessing pupils in the infant classes, literacy, oral language, numeracy, social skills, motor skills, general ability and those pupils with challenging behaviour are outlined. Following this webinar, we are confident that you will have a clear understanding of the assessment tools that are available to you as a SET and how to choose the correct tools to effectively support your pupils.
